Two Steps for NIIED Recommendation Letter Submission 1. KDI School Application System - Online Submission: Access the application system and enter the email addresses of your two recommenders.Obtain two electronic recommendations via the system. 2. NIIED Recommendation Letter Submission - Hard copy Offline Submission: Even after submitting your recommendation letters online, you are required to submit two physical copies of NIIED Form 5 as well. Since your online recommendations have already been submitted, you only need to complete the basic information on Form 5 and secure the signatures of your two recommenders. After obtaining the signatures, ensure that the form is properly sealed. The final step involves sending these two signed and sealed recommendations to KDI School by post.

[Academic Programs] Are international students eligible for dual degree or exchange programs abroad?
Unfortunately, that is not the case. International students are already studying abroad at KDI School, and the scholarship is valid only within the campus.

[Admissions & Application] Do I need to upload notarized documents in the application stage?
Yes, you need to upload notarized documents during the application stage. Your academic documents, such as your Degree Certificate and Transcript, must be either Apostilled by the designated government authority or Consular-confirmed by the Korean Embassy before applying to KDI School. The application guidelines provide more detailed information on how to legalize(notarize) these documents. Make sure to follow the instructions in the guidelines carefully to ensure a smooth application process.

[Others] Can I bring my family for my study period at KDI School?
It's your decision whether you bring your family with you or not. However, our support is only for the student. The accommodation and visa issues for your family must be arranged and managed by yourself.

[Assistance and Expenses] Is there any financial support for part-time international students?
The part-time program is only applicable to foreign nationals residing and working in Korea. Therefore, there will be no visa or financial support provided by the school. However, students may receive full/partial tuition waivers based on their performance during the selection process and eligibilities.

There is no specific quota by nationality or major, and the competition rate varies for each admission process as it depends on the number of students we can accommodate. However, we may not admit as many students as our student capacity allows.

[Academic Programs] How long does it take to obtain a degree at KDI School?
For the Master's program, full-time students are required to finish the coursework within 3 terms on campus, which is approximately one year. The last term, dedicated to remaining research work to fulfill the graduation requirements, will be completed in their home country. For the Ph.D. program, it takes at least 3 to 4 years until graduation.

Most of our international students receive 100% scholarship benefits, which are decided by the admissions committee. You simply need to submit your application through our online application system before the deadline. No separate application for scholarship is required.

From 2024 Fall Admissions, the English Proficiency Test Score is mandatory for ALL Applicants. The acceptable English Proficiency Score and the minimum score required are as follows. TOEIC : 750 / TOEFL iBT(Including Home Edition) : 72 / TOEFL CBT : 212 / TOEFL ITP : 543 / IELTS(Including Online) : 6.0 / OPIc : IM3 / NEW TEPS : 286 / Duolingo : 100. *The tests must be taken no more than 2 years prior to the application deadline.

[Academic Programs] Can I take the courses remotely from my home country? Is there an Online degree program?
No, KDI School does not offer any online degree programs and all students must physically reside in Korea during their study period.
