Productivity and Growth / Input-Output Analysis

Dr. Dongseok Kim is a professor at KDI School of Public Policy and Management. He worked for the Korea Development Institute (KDI) for 20 years since 1996, and joined KDI School in 2017. At KDI, he served as the Senior Vice President (2013~2017), Director of the Office of Research Planning and Coordination (2007~2010), and Head of Econometric Modeling Team (2004). He also served as advisor to several government departments and committees. He holds a BA (1985) and MA (1987) in Economics from Yonsei University, and Ph.D. (1996) in Economics from Stanford University.
Dr. Kim has worked in the fields of input-output analysis, productivity and growth, quantitative methods, international trade, and so on. Some of his recent papers are; “New Indicators of Global Integration Using Input-Output Analysis (2024, KDI Journal of Economic Policy, forthcoming),” “Direct and Indirect Factor Income Shares at the Sectoral Level: An Alternative Method Using Input-Output Analysis (2024, Journal of Economic Research, forthcoming),” “Input structure, international trade of intermediate goods, and international competitiveness (2023, Journal of Economic Research).”
