Services
Student Health Services staff provide services one would expect at an urgent care facility or local pharmacy such as evaluation and management of acute and chronic medical problems, health counseling, specialist referrals when necessary, and receiving OTC (over-the-counter) medications. Local health clinics and physicians are available for laboratory tests, X-rays, emergency care, and specialist consultation.
Nursing Services
by appointment or on a first come, first served walk-in basis
- Evaluation and management of acute and chronic medical problems
- OTC (Over-The-Counter) medications available (Medicines that don’t require physician's prescription)
- Height & Weight measurement
- Blood pressure checks
- Rapid Glucose Test
- Basic wound care
- Referrals to local medical specialists when necessary
- Provide equipment to students in need of assistances (i.e. crutches and wheelchair)
Health Education
- Health maintenance
- Promotion of safer sexual practices
- Nutrition
- Weight management
- Smoking cessation
Please note we will NOT provide any of the following
- Stitches/suture
- Administer immunizations
- Asthma treatments
- Prescriptions medications
