Jeong Yeol Kim is a Ph.D. in economics. He brings a diverse background to his academic pursuits, having spent eight years as a data analyst at SK Telecom and serving as an officer in the Korean Army.
His research agenda is centered on antitrust policy, with a focus on topics such as the collusive behavior of non-profit-maximizing firms, the impact of cartel leniency policies, international cartel enforcement coordination, multi-jurisdictional leniency policies, and decision-making under uncertainty using behavioral and experimental economic methodologies.
His job market paper, entitled "Strategic Delegation and Collusion: An Experiment," was selected as the Winner for the 2023 Antitrust Writing Awards (Readers' choice) and was awarded support through the National Science Foundation (SES-2149219). He commences his academic career as an assistant professor at the KDI School of Public Policy and Management, where he will further his contribution to the field of Antitrust Economics and Policy through teaching and research endeavors.
